For Prayers

If you would like prayer for yourself or someone else, prayer is available before and after the church services, at St Mark’s in the prayer corner and at St Luke’s please ask a member of the leadership team to join you in prayer.

Please prayer for Mission week, and for the team that are leading it, that Gods love shines into those dark places and plants a seed of faith.

Please continue to pray for those known to us who are unwell, housebound or lonely including Jean Nield, Ray, Eileen, Kirsty, Beverly, Douglas, Andy, Tim & Sue Howarth,.  We pray for the family and friends of those recently bereaved including Harry Heaton, Shirley Nield,

Children in Church

At St Mark’s there is Sunday kids club for children aged 4-11, for children under 4 we have a manned crèche area at the back of church which children are welcome to use at any point during the service.

At St Luke's we have an unmanned children's area at the back of church which children are welcome to use at any point during the service but must be supervised by a parent or carer.

Prayer Corner

If you would like prayer for something there will an opportunity to pray with someone after the service in the prayer corner.

This week you will find Ann and Caroline in the corner to assist you with any prayer requests.

Harvest Flowers

Carol Webber is taking donations for the Harvest Flowers

Chairty Shop

The Chairty shop has had a last minute cancellation and therefore we are moving into the shop on Firday  21st September,  Then Our final fortnight for the year is in October, moving in on Friday 25th.October
If you are having a post Summer clear- out, downsizing or you know someone who is moving house then tell them about the shop as sometimes it can be overwhelming if you are facing a room full or a house full of things especially if someone you know has suffered a bereavement . We are very grateful for donations large and small . We need small furniture, China, useful household items, mirrors, jewellery and perfumes etc.  If you are able to offer some time to help with the running of the shop for any of the period especially the September week Please contact Alison 07947145666 for a collection.

Harvest and Gift Day.

We are holding our Harvest Festival and Gift Day on the 22nd September. Please bring tins particularly of Baked Beans which we will donate to the Well Cafe. Also toiletries would be much appreciated.

St Mark’s: The gift day will we pray raise enough money to repair the Gable End wall (Leak) on the Parish Hall, The leak above the Prayer corner and for a new Notice board at the front of Church. Please give generously as we have gone ahead in faith with the repairs. The total cost of these will be in the order of £5500.

St Luke’s: The gift day will we pray raise enough money to redecorate and paint the interior of St Luke’s church following repairing the leaks outside.

Life Group

 If you would like to find out more about a Life Group you are warmly invited to the vicarage at 7.30pm 24th Sept for a meal and a taster of a life group. Please sign the list at the back if you intend on coming with any dietary requirements

Macmillian Coffee Afternoon

Staining Church of England School are holding their annual coffee morning in the afternoon!

Friday 27th September 2.30pm – 3.30pm

Our doors will be open and ready to welcome the community for a brew and piece of cake

There will be a cake stall and any donations will be gratefully received during the day.

Kingdom Come

Saturday 5th October at 7pm at Salvation Army Blackpool Citade, Raikes Parade, FY1 4EL

An evening of prayer and worship as we pray for the coming of Gods Kingdom across the Fylde Coast.

Launch – Carols at the Winter Gardens

Friday 11th October starting at 7pm at the Gatehouse Church, Blackpool, FY4 3AD

The launch event will bring together church leaders and members to worship, pray and get mobilised ready for this great Gospel opportunity.
