For Prayers

If you would like prayer for yourself or someone else, prayer is available before and after the church services, at St Mark’s in the prayer corner and at St Luke’s please ask a member of the leadership team to join you in prayer.

Please continue to pray for Peter and Caroline, whilst Peter is on Study leave

Please continue to pray for those known to us who are unwell, housebound or lonely including  June & Roy Tasker, Tim & Sue Howarth, Barbara, Jean & Brian.  We pray for the family and friends of those recently bereaved including Raymond Townsend, Mary Nightingale, Kathleen Wincott, Violet Pritchard & Joyce Jones.

Children in Church

At St Mark’s there is Sunday kids club for children aged 4-11, for children under 4 we have a manned crèche area at the back of church which children are welcome to use at any point during the service.

At St Luke's we have an unmanned children's area at the back of church which children are welcome to use at any point during the service but must be supervised by a parent or carer.

Offering Envelopes

As part of the church offering on a Sunday you may have noticed envelopes being used.  If you would like further information on these offering envelopes or would like to use them please speak to Barbara Brook or Barry Lee.

Mothering Sunday

Sunday 31st March, joint Parish Holy Communion, 11am at St Mark’s.  Please do come and join us for this important service as we worship together on Mothering Sunday but also as we pray for and commission Hope Community Church on Grange Park.  Refreshments will be served from 10.30am in the parish hall.

Drama Workshop:

Saturday 6th April 9am-12noon, St Paul’s, Marton.  The aim is to effectively equip people with sketches/drama skill sets for taking back into church, giving people some good resources to take home but also confidence in doing their own creative thing.  No stipulations for attending and no experience needed.  Just a desire to be creative within church/worship/evangelism settings through use of drama.  Although there is no charge, and you won’t be turned away on the day,  it would help in planning refreshments and resources if you would let us know you’re coming by e-mailing Canon Simon Cox: drsjcox@yahoo.co.uk

Donkey Ride

On Palm Sunday April 14th at Kidz KLub we are going to be offering children a free Donkey ride. The cost is going to be £2 a child with around 30 expected to take part. If you would like to sponsor a child then please can you give the donation to Lucy or Alison Cross. Thank you

Hope Community Church on Grange Park - Easter Outreach on Good Friday.

April 19th, between 12 – 2pm. We will be giving out wooden crosses with an invitation to come to our Easter Sunday celebration and will be serving free drinks and hot x buns @the Grange on the Friday. If anyone would like to join us between 12 – 2 to give out the crosses or to just be involved, please see Alan or Matt.

The Bible Course.

Now that the Bible course has been completed the journey is not over.  As we continue in our Life groups we are looking forward to continue reading from the Bible and increasing our knowledge and understanding of the Christian faith, and becoming disciples of Christ.  Look out for a course on the Lord’s Prayer starting after Easter.

Bishop’s Memory Verse: Making Disciples – Romans 1:16

Bishop Julian as part of the Diocesan year of discipleship is encouraging us to develop the spiritual discipline of learning Bible verses by heart, this is a great thing to do and so we would like to encourage you to meditate on and memorise this verse this month.

‘For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes’
