For Prayers

If you would like prayer for yourself or someone else, Prayer is available before and after the church services.  At St Mark’s in the prayer corner.  At St Luke’s please ask a member of the leadership team to assist you in prayer.

 

Please continue to pray for those known to us who are unwell, housebound or lonely including, Paul, Barbara, Brian and Andrew.  We pray for the family and friends of those recently bereaved including Janet Murray, Margaret Walker, Mary Mayne.


The Funeral of the Late Mary Mayne will take place on Tuesday 23rd October at St Mark’s Church commencing at 1pm

Gift Day

We would like to say a Huge Thank you for the very generous donations we received last week through our Gift Day Services.  Your generosity is overwhelming.  St Mark’s received £9400  St Luke’s we are currently waiting for your total, we will keep you all up to date with that figure.

The funeral of the late Janet Murray will take place at St Mark’s, Layton at 1pm on Wednesday 17th October followed by committal at Carleton Crematorium.

Operation Christmas Child

It is at that time of year again when we seek to make a difference to a child’s Christmas by filling shoeboxes ready for sending to those in need.  If you would like to please feel free to take a pre-printed box, fill with presents (following the guidelines in the leaflet) and return to church by Sunday 18th November.  If you would like to contribute to the cost of your box please leave the donation on the table.  Many thanks to all those who support this excellent cause.

Parish Weekend 2019

 Will be held at Thornleigh from Friday 25th January to Sunday 27th January, cost £100 per adult, this will be a great weekend of fellowship, worship and teaching.  If you would like to come please pick up a booking form from the back of church.

The Well Community Café
A huge thank you to everyone for their kind and generous donations last week at our Harvest services.  If you would still like to contribute we would be pleased to receive any of the following items: Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, shaving foam/gel, cup-a-soups, pot noodles, instant rice meals or instant pasta packets, tinned soups, tinned beans, sugar, small jars of coffee, pairs of gloves, men’s & ladies socks, sleeping bags.

Lancashire Festival of Hope:
What a wonderful weekend with 9000 people worshipping in the Winter Gardens and hundreds responding to the Gospel message given by Franklin Graham. Please give thanks for BGEA.  Please pray for those that gave their lives to Jesus and for the follow up visits.  Please pray that those visited are welcomed and encouraged by the church.
